Skipper Francke Horn says the Lions are ready for a trip to Ireland over the coming weeks knowing two wins from two will seal a historic first Vodacom URC playoff berth.
Horn spoke to News24 ahead of back-to-back clashes against Leinster and Munster, with the Lions sitting third on 53 points after six consecutive victories.
“We are going full blast for it,” he said. “It’s a great challenge to be part of, and we want to see if we can play with the big dogs.”
“It’s going to be a massive two weeks for us in terms of where we want to end up on the log; mathematically, we still haven’t qualified.”

There are four teams all within four points of Ivan van Rooyen’s men, including Leinster (53) and Munster (51).
Horn acknowledged that lots can still happen over the penultimate rounds of the race to the final eight.
“You will go mad if you try to figure out where you will end up,” the No 8 added. “You can only control what you can control, and those are the two games that are left.
“[However] I would be very disappointed if we don’t make it, especially with where we are at the moment.
“We have worked hard enough and we have played some really good rugby.”
