The Lions scored eight tries to hammer the Glasgow Warriors at Ellis Park on Saturday.
Centre Henco van Wyk scored a brace of tries in the 54-12 victory that moved the Lions up to fourth on the Vodacom URC log, above Ulster, with three rounds remaining.
Glasgow remain top after the Stormers’ shock defeat to Cape Town earlier in the day.
REPORT: Stormers implode against inspired Connacht
The Pride started this clash with intent. A direct series of carries put Glasgow under pressure, and Van Wyk forced his way over from close range.
The Lions struck again soon after, moving the ball wide through quick hands before Erich Cronje finished in the corner.
Van Wyk then added his second after collecting a pass from Francke Horn, with flyhalf Chris Smith converting to stretch the lead to 19-0.

Glasgow settled and began to build phases. Flyhalf Dan Lancaster found space to score and converted his own try to reduce the deficit.
The Lions responded before the break, with SJ Kotze finishing after strong work from fellow prop Asenathi Ntlabakanye to secure the bonus point. Smith added the extras to make it 26-7 at half-time.

The hosts carried that momentum into the second half as flank Ruan Venter powered over, with Smith converting again.
Glasgow responded through captain Stafford McDowall, but the Lions maintained control. Horn broke down the flank and found scrumhalf Morné van den Berg on the inside to score under the posts.
The pressure continued. Flank Siba Mahashe crossed for the seventh try before fullback Quan Horn finished a long-range move following a turnover to cap the performance.
