Jasper Wiese started at flank for the Urayasu D-Rocks in a 41-19 defeat to the Black Rams Tokyo.

Lock Lourens Erasmus and replacement hooker Schalk Erasmus ran out for the Toyota Verblitz in a 52-21 win against the Toshiba Brave Lupus in Aichi.

Springbok centre Damian de Allende powered over for the Saitama Wild Knights in their 40-24 loss to the Kobe Steelers in Hyogo. Juan Wilson started at No 8 for the Wild Knights.

Replacement centre Dawid Kellerman dotted down for the Honda Heat in their 26-21 win against the Shizuoka Blue Revs in Mie. Flank Franco Mostert captained the Heat, while prop Matthys Basson and Janko Swanepoel also featured for the hosts. Blue Revs captain Kwagga Smith started at No 8 with Sylvian Mahuza running out in midfield. 

Cheslin Kolbe scored 14 points from the tee as the Suntory Sungoliath cruised to a 54-22 win against the Yokohama Canon Eagles in Tokyo.
