“I thought that was probably one of the best games I’ve seen Malcolm Marx play,” said former Springbok coach Nick Mallett on the Talking Boks podcast.
“If you asked me who the Man of the Match was, I understand why they gave it to Cobus Reinach, but I would’ve given it to Malcolm. He was outstanding before he came off, and when he went off we lost a lot of momentum.”
MALLETT: Boks needed to hammer in the nail
Writing on Keo.co.za, Mark Keohane said: “Marx scored his 25th and 26th Test tries. He was special for the 60 minutes he played. Tries, turnovers and tackles. He also carried with presence and precision.”
Marx received 55% of the vote from SARugbymag.co.za readers followed by scrumhalf Reinach (18%) and flanker Pieter-Steph du Toit (9%).
