South African wing Duhan van der Merwe will make his long-awaited return from a serious ankle injury for Edinburgh against the Dragons in Newport on Saturday.
The Scotland international has not featured for his club since January, but returns as 12th-placed Edinburgh look to finish a disappointing Vodacom URC season on a high.
Van der Merwe’s return will also be welcomed by Scotland ahead of their Nations Championship matches against Argentina, the Springboks and Fiji in July.
While the 30-year-old made just one appearance in this year’s Six Nations, he remains one of coach Gregor Townsend’s most dangerous attacking weapons.
