The team’s arrival brought them closer to launch as preparations continue. Artemis II will be NASA’s first crewed mission around the Moon in decades.
Unlike Apollo 8, the crew will not enter lunar orbit, but will follow an out-and-back trajectory around the Moon before returning to Earth.
The 10-day mission is set to end with a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean, as part of broader efforts to advance human space exploration.
