Grey College won big on day two of the North-South Rugby Tournament, while there were also notable victories for hosts Affies and Paarl Gim.
A Lamla Mgedezi hat-trick powered Grey College to a 51-19 win over Helpmekaar. It was tight early on, but a try from JV Coetzee gave Grey a 22-12 half-time lead. They took full control after the break, with a dominant forward display and sharp backline play producing 29 second-half points.
Affies scored four tries in a 28-17 win against Oakdale Landbou.
Dirk Hugo, Corné Niemand and Bernhardt Schulze all scored braces as Paarl Gim thrashed Noordheuwel 61-10.
Menlopark crossed for seven tries, with Danie Bothma grabbing a hat-trick, in a 46-28 win over Boland Landbou.
In other results, Durbanville High beat Rustenburg High 25-7, Welkom Gim overturned a half-time deficit to defeat Nico Malan 54-43, and Hoërskool Trio edged HTS Middelburg 27-25.
