BORTHWICK: We gave them too big a start
France, who did not gain any ranking points from their 54-12 hammering of Wales in Cardiff due to the large gap in ranking points between the sides, climbed to third.
Scotland moved up to ninth, while Italy – who lost 20-13 to Ireland in Dublin – dropped to 10th.
Ireland remain fifth after not gaining any ranking points from their clash with the Azzurri due to the large gap in ranking points between the sides.
